Rogers Scholars Program 2000

In July of 2000, the Kilby Awards continued its collaboration with the Rogers Scholars Program in Kentucky. Nine Kilby Laureates, Jack Kilby and Dr. Johann Deisenhofer participated in the program with broadcasts into Appalachia from the University of California at Berkeley, University of California at Los Angeles, Yale University, Northern California and Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Daniel Kaufman (1996 Kilby Laureate), Victoria Smith Downing, Chair, Kilby Board of Trustees and Jennifer Harris Trosper (1998 Young Innovator) broadcasting from UCLA.

Dr. Mark Reed (1994 Young Innovator), Victoria Smith Downing, Chair, Kilby Board of Trustees, and Dr. Michael Zasloff (1994 Kilby Laureate) broadcasting from Yale University.

Marc Hannah (1995 Young Innovator), Penny Patterson (1997 Kilby Laureate), Victoria Smith Downing, Chair, Kilby Board of Trustees, and Mike McCue (1996 Young Innovator) broadcasting from a Connexus site in Northern California.
