THE KILBY INTERNATIONAL AWARDS IN LONDON

London, England - October 7, 2003 - Five extraordinary new Kilby Laureates will be celebrated in London, England on Friday, November 7, 2003. The first part of the celebration will be a series of lectures at the Royal Society (the world's most prestigious Academy of Science) from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. That evening, the celebration will continue with a Grand Dinner, Toasting, and Awards Ceremony at the Reform Club.

INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED KILBY LAUREATES INTERACT AS ROLE MODELS WITH APPALACHIAN YOUTH

Somerset, KY - July 14, 1999 - Renowned scientists, economists, and technology innovators are sharing their time and talents with young people in a cross-country partnership between the Kilby Awards Foundation and The Center for Rural Development. The Foundation has teamed up with Rogers Scholars, a project of The Center, which offers training opportunities to high school juniors from the Appalachian region of Kentucky. During the intensive one-week sessions, forty-eight students will take classes in leadership, engineering, computer networking, video production, web page development, and small business skills.
